Many Celtic fans have been talking about a tweet that the club recently relayed on social media.
The club’s tweet carried some comments that Neil Lennon made about goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas. Lennon confirmed that the goalkeeper has travelled with the squad for their Europa League game against Lille. He said that Barkas currently has a shoulder issue, but the injury isn’t too ‘strenuous’.
This tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans and they flocked to the post to make their opinions clear about Barkas.

Before the club’s 3-3 draw against Aberdeen, Lennon revealed that Barkas was dealing with a back injury which he had suffered in a collision against Milan in the Europa League last week. Scott Bain was selected for the weekend game at Pittodrie (as per Scottish Sun).
Barkas joined Celtic from Greek club AEK Athens in the summer transfer window for a fee of £2.95 million with further add-ons based on appearances. He has made 14 appearances in all competitions this season.
Some other Celtic fans were also mocking Lennon’s comments.
It was his back the weekend just buy him some deep heat

It was back last week at the Aberdeen game ?

These Celtic fans seem to be mocking Lennon because he said last week that Barkas had a back problem, but it is his shoulder that is giving him problems now.
Barkas was criticised by pundit Kris Boyd for his performance in the Old Firm derby and had picked up an unimpressive rating of 6.18/10 in the game. In the league campaign, he has picked up a rating of 6.64 so far and as many as 14 players have picked up better ratings than him in the Premiership for Celtic.
This suggests that Barkas needs to improve his performances soon and it is understandable why one Celtic fan believes that his injury issue isn’t bad news for the Bhoys.
