Many Celtic fans have been talking about Odsonne Edouard following the club’s 2-0 win over St. Johnstone in the Premiership on Sunday.
The Hoops picked up a 2-0 win at McDiarmid Park, as Leigh Griffiths and Patryk Klimala came up with late goals to help Neil Lennon’s men snatch all three points.
Edouard had started the game up front, but was taken off in the second half for Klimala – with many Celtic fans unhappy with his performance as they made their opinions very clear on social media.

It seems as if many Celtic fans aren’t happy with Edouard’s performance, with one fan even calling for the Frenchman to be dropped in the club’s next game.
The striker has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season – seven of those appearances have come in the Premiership. In all competitions, the 22-year-old has found the back of the net six times and picked up one assist (as per Transfermarkt).
Some more Celtic fans also made their frustrations clear about Edouard.

It does seem as if we are all shying away from this, but I’m going to say it. Edouard is shocking at the moment. He is offering next to nothing. Not just today but this has gone on all season basically. Not sure if he wants away but he won’t get it like this even if he does.

In failing to get on the scoresheet, Edouard could only pick up a rating of 6.58/10 on the day. He was the club’s fifth-worst performer (as per WhoScored).
It was clearly an underwhelming performance and Edouard’s ratings in the previous league outings against Hibernian and St. Mirren were under 7/10 as well. So it is clear why Celtic fans aren’t happy with his recent performances and considering that clubs have been linked with a move for him over the summer, it is understandable why the club’s supporters seem pretty concerned.
