Supporters of Celtic have recently reacted to comments which were made by the club’s manager Neil Lennon regarding Kris Commons.
Following the Hoops’ recent 3-3 draw against Aberdeen, Commons ripped into Shane Duffy when speaking to the Daily Mail (via Daily Record).
The former Celtic man stated that Duffy “looks like an accident waiting to happen” before going on to claim that the Irishman has “been rank rotten from the minute he walked through the door”.
The quotes from Lennon were in response to what Commons had to say, and the Hoops’ manager stated the former midfielder “hardly kicked a ball for Celtic” in his second season at Celtic Park (via The Scotsman).
These quotes were relayed on social media by Kieran Caw and they had lots of fans talking.
So, what did these Celtic fans have to say about Neil Lennon’s comments on Kris Commons?

So far this season, Duffy has made seven appearances in the Premiership for the Hoops in which he has scored two goals and assisted once (per WhoScored).
Who do you agree with more?
Commons
Lennon
Deflection… what’s he saying about how he has the team performing?

Ooft. Shots fired. No more holidays together for Kris and Neil. https://t.co/wC9aDW4haK

Over his seven league appearances for the Hoops so far this season, Duffy has earned an impressive 7.41/10 average rating.
The average rating has, in fact, made the Brighton & Hove Albion loanee the fourth-best performer to feature for Lennon’s side in the league so far this term.
See to be honest, I don’t have an issue with valid criticism by pundits, that’s their job, I think we’ve all called Duffy hopeless
Don’t get me wrong there is plenty out there that’s unjust or just nitpicking but Duffy has been poor— Richard Murphy (@RichardMurphy80) October 28, 2020
He’s still bitter because of the way he left Celtic he’s always criticising us he,would never have been that famous if Celtic never signed him

As can be seen in these responses from Celtic fans, there was a seemingly mixed reaction from the Celtic Park faithful regarding what Lennon had to say.
