Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which shared comments made by Neil Lennon following the club’s victory against FK Sarajevo on Thursday evening.
In his comments, which were shared by the official Celtic Twitter account, Lennon stated that his side was “fantastic” and that they “thoroughly deserved” their 1-0 win against Sarajevo, which secured the Bhoys a spot in the Europa League group stages.
The 49-year-old continued by stating that he is “so happy for the players and the club” and that one “source of frustration” had been the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League group stage, but he went on to point out that, since the loss to Ferencvarosi TC, his side have “won seven-in-a-row”.
In reaction to his comments, fans of Celtic flocked to have their say on the matter, with many disagreeing with the manager’s opinion that Celtic were “fantastic” in their match against Sarajevo.
The only explanation for the interviews is he thinks we’re stupid ????? https://t.co/GfHM1uvxLy

Here we go again with this patter.

He’s like a robot. Says the same thing after every win. We didn’t play good enough just admit it.

Lennon is correct in stating that the club has won seven consecutive fixtures since their loss to Ferencvarosi, a run that has included a 3-0 victory over Motherwell, a 5-0 victory over Ross County and a 3-0 win over Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership, as well as victories against Riga FC and Sarajevo in Europa League qualifying that has seen the Hoops enter the group stage of the competition.
Do you think Celtic have been playing fantastically in recent weeks?
Yes
No
However, from their comments, it would seem that, despite their impressive run of form, many Celtic fans have not been overly impressed with the performances of their side of late, with a great deal more taking to Twitter to disagree with Lennon’s recent remarks.
Insulting out intelligence again saying we were fantastic . Turn it up Neil , you are fooling nobody .

Great we got through, and yes we dominated possession, but “fantastic”? Don’t think so Neil. We were poor, but the opposition were poorer. We are not playing the Celtic way. It grieves me to say it but we are boring.

All in all, it would seem that the majority of these Celtic fans strongly disagree with Lennon that the club played fantastically in their last fixture, something which, from their comments, would seem to be a bit of a recurring theme of late.
