Many Celtic fans have been fuming at Greg Taylor following his performance in the club’s 2-0 win over St. Johnstone in the Premiership on Sunday.
Late goals from Patryk Klimala and Leigh Griffiths made sure that the Hoops picked up all three points at the weekend. Both the players had come on from the bench to make a vital impact.
However, some Celtic fans weren’t pleased with Taylor’s performance in the game. They took to Twitter and made their opinions very clear about the Scotsman.
It’s not nice to put down Celtic players.
& that’s why Greg Taylor has to go, so we can stop it.

Is Taylor good enough to play for Celtic?
Yes
No
Greg Taylor is awful. Just awful. Offers nothing going forward. #cutback

Greg Taylor is probably a nice lad. But hes never a Celtic fullback in a month of sundays.
He doesnt have what we need. Our play is so focused on the full backs and he lacks quality in almost every aspect of his game. He isnt terrible, hes just not good enough.

Greg Taylor should be BANNED FAE THE GAME

In all competitions this season, Taylor has made 12 appearances for the Hoops, with eight coming in the Premiership. He scored once in the club’s brief Champions League qualifying campaign and has three assists in the Premiership to his name (as per Transfermarkt).
Some other Celtic fans also made their anger clear about the 22-year-old’s performance on Sunday.
Greg Taylor was dreadful today how many times does he pass the ball backwards or lose the ball and give away a free kick. An attacking left back is required before the end of the transfer window

Hopefully that’s the last we see of Greg Taylor in a Celtic shirt as well. Decent enough LB just nowhere near Celtic quality

Great 3 points but we are a hard watch the now. Greg Taylor isn’t good enough for this team we need someone else on that side before the deadline ?

Taylor was substituted in the second half and picked up a match rating of only 6.76/10 in the game. He was the club’s seventh-worst player out of the 16 involved on the day (as per WhoScored).
He failed to complete a single dribble in the game and came up with just one key pass. So it is clear that it was hardly an impressive performance from Taylor and that is why Celtic fans are angry. He may need to improve his performances in the future if he wants to keep playing regularly, particularly with the Hoops reportedly interested in signing Diego Laxalt on loan from Milan.
