Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest news update involving James Forrest that recently emerged on social media.
Neil Lennon recently confirmed that Forrest has a stress fracture of his ankle and he will be missing for four to six weeks for Celtic. He will miss the Old Firm derby and won’t be fit for Celtic’s two Europa League group stage matches as well (as per BBC Sport).
This update involving the Scotsman left many Celtic fans talking and they made their feelings clear about it on social media.

Wouldn’t wish an injury on anybody but I’m hoping he comes back with a bit more hunger which he looked to be lacking so far this season!

Forrest hadn’t featured for Celtic in their Premiership games against Hibernian and St. Johnstone. He hadn’t played in the Europa League qualifying game against Sarajevo too (as per Transfermarkt).
The 29-year-old has scored two goals in all competitions this season and has picked up a single assist. All of those goal contributions have come in the Premiership (as per Transfermarkt).
Some other Celtic fans also reacted to the injury update involving the Scotsman.

Some of these Celtic fans are pretty disappointed about Forrest’s injury. One fan believes that this might be a good time to give a chance to young Karamoko Dembele.
In the current campaign, Forrest has picked up a rating of 7.14 in the Premiership. Eight Celtic players have picked up better ratings than him in the league. Last season, he had directly contributed to as many as 38 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions.
That is a reflection of how important a player Forrest is for Celtic and because of that, losing him to an injury could become a problem for them in the next few games.
