Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report claiming that Spurs are looking to sell Paulo Gazzaniga.
According to the report by the Evening Standard, the club ‘hope’ to sell the goalkeeper, who joined Spurs from Southampton in 2017, ‘in the new year’.
In reaction to the news, which was relayed on Twitter by Hotspur Related, fans of Tottenham have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating their belief that Gazzaniga is underrated, and that they do not want the club to move the 28-year-old on any time soon.
He’s so underrated. To swap him for Hart is a joke. When Lloris was out he was fantastic. Big disrespect to him this is

Such a solid backup, would be a shame to lose him

Since moving to north London, the £2.52 million-rated ‘keeper has featured 37 times for the club, conceding 43 goals and keeping 10 clean sheets.
The majority of these appearances came last season – primarily due to the absence of the injured Hugo Lloris – in which he featured 25 times in all competitions, conceding 33 goals and keeping five clean sheets.
However, following the signing of Joe Hart in the summer transfer window, the Evening Standard report that the club are happy to let the ‘keeper leave the club in January, which caused a great many Spurs fans to take to Twitter in order to air their displeasure at the news.
Do you think that the club should sell Gazzaniga?

I like him. Shame if he gets pushed out. When lloris was shaky or injured he would always step up and the defence looked reasonable.

All in all, it would appear that many Spurs fans are disappointed to hear the news that their club are hoping to sell Gazzaniga in the January transfer window, with some seemingly of the belief that the Argentina international is a better option as a back up ‘keeper to Lloris than Hart.
