Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have taken to social media in order to discuss their recent signing Carlos Vinicius’ performance during their UEFA Europa League clash with LASK in north London on Thursday night.
Jose Mourinho’s side ran out 3-0 winners and the Brazilian, making his first appearance for the Lilywhites provided his teammates with two assists (as per BBC Sport). According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old’s display earned him a performance rating of 8.07/10, making him the team’s best performer on the night.
What did the Spurs fans make of Vinicius’ first game in the club’s colours?
I see no reason he shouldn’t play more than a bit part back up to Kane.Spurs up top are so interchangeable.
When we need a goal, lob him up top with Kane behind & our multitude of talent coming in from wide?
He’s gonna score a shed load & probably assist a load too!

No
It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters were pleased with the performance of their new centre-forward. The player joined Spurs on a season-long loan for a reported fee of £2.7m and the Lilywhites have the option of making the move permanent for a fee of £40.83m (as per BBC Sport).
Vinicius, during his time at the Estadio da Luz scored 24 goals and provided his teammates with 13 assists in 49 appearances (as per Transfermarkt). Although it is still early days with regards to his Tottenham career, based on his previous record and what we saw on Thursday night, in our view, he looks an exciting acquisition.
