Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have flocked to images of Michel Vorm which were posted to social media by the club.

On Tuesday, it was the Dutch goalkeeper’s birthday and to mark the occasion, Spurs posted a birthday message alongside four images of him (per Tottenham Hotspur).

The £720,000-rated stopper has been without a club since he was released by the north London outfit in the summer of this year (per Transfermarkt).

Vorm’s release by Tottenham came after he made just one appearance in all competitions for the club during the 2019/20 season and that was in Spurs’ FA Cup defeat against Norwich City.

Following the club’s post to social media, lots of fans flocked to it to air their thoughts.

So, what did these Tottenham fans have to say about Michel Vorm?

Spurs signed the former FC Utrecht ‘keeper for the first time in the summer of 2014 for a £5.13m fee from Welsh side Swansea City (per Transfermarkt).

Vorm was then released in the summer of 2019 and re-signed by the club in October of the same year.

Over the six years he spent with Tottenham, the 37-year-old Dutchman made 48 appearances for Spurs in which he conceded 48 goals and managed to keep 17 clean sheets.

While many fans seemed to be positive in their opinions of Vorm, other supporters had negative reactions following the club’s tweet.

As can be seen in these responses from Spurs fans, many had something positive to say about Vorm following the club’s tweet, however, some fans did not remember his time with Tottenham fondly.
