Many Newcastle United fans have been talking about the latest tweet that the club recently relayed on social media.

The club’s official Twitter account recently posted a tweet, confirming that the Magpies have now picked their 25-man squad for the first half of the Premier League campaign. The tweet also carried a link to an article on the club’s official website and this article provided more information about the players who have been selected. An image of Miguel Almiron’s jersey was also included in the tweet.

Who will the Toon play in the next round of the Carabao Cup after they beat Newport County on penalties?

This tweet caught the attention of many Newcastle United fans, who made their opinion clear about the squad that has been picked for the first half of the league season.

What do Newcastle United fans make of the club’s 25-man squad?

Will Newcastle regret excluding Atsu from the squad?

The club has confirmed that both Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie have been included in the squad and the Magpies are hopeful that they would be able to recover from their injuries before January when clubs have to submit a 25-man squad once again. Henri Saivet, Christian Atsu, Achraf Lazaar and Rolando Aarons have missed out on the squad (as per NUFC.co.uk).

Apart from being frustrated about the fact that Atsu hasn’t been included in the squad, a couple of Toon fans were also not happy with Almiron’s usage in the first-team by Steve Bruce.

Clearly, these Newcastle fans are annoyed at two different things. Almiron has made just one start in the Premier League this season. He was left on the bench against Burnley and came on from the bench against Manchester United and West Ham.

So far in the league campaign though, only five games have been played by Newcastle and there’s a lot of games yet to be played. Because of that, it might be too early to criticise Bruce about his usage of Almiron. There is a chance that with time, the manager might look to use the Paraguayan more often than he is right now.
