Celtic legend Chris Sutton has recently made a claim about the situation of the club’s dressing room right now.
Sutton was a guest on the latest episode of the Record Celtic podcast and the panel discussed many issues involving the Bhoys and they focused on the club’s 2-0 loss in the Old Firm derby. Sutton believes that there are issues in the Celtic dressing room that Neil Lennon has to resolve.
After the Old Firm derby, Lennon had said that it is ‘disgusting’ that someone in the club’s dressing room had leaked Celtic’s starting XI. He said that while he keeps talking about a sense of privacy in the club’s dressing room, it doesn’t seem to matter for some people (as per BBC Sport).
Sutton believes that there are issues in the club’s dressing room and everyone is pointing fingers at each other.
He said: “You have to say that there are issues in that dressing room – the fact that Neil Lennon is pointing fingers at leaks and it is a big problem for him. So he needs to start getting a grip of the dressing room and there to be harmony about the place. It looks at this moment in time like everybody is pointing fingers at each other. There’s a blame culture going on. You know, it is everybody else’s fault.”

Even after Celtic’s loss to Ferencvaros in the qualifying stages of the UEFA Champions League, Lennon had urged the club’s players to get their mentality right. And he had said that if some players don’t want to play for Celtic, they can leave the club (as per BBC Sport).
The representatives of Kristoffer Ajer and Olivier Ntcham had asked for information from Celtic about their valuations of the player. All this shows that the situation in the club’s dressing room hasn’t exactly been perfect this season and because of that, it is easy to understand why Sutton wants Lennon to grab control of these issues as soon as possible.
