A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Mark Douglas that contains a link to an article in The Chronicle about the Bellagraph Nova Group, who claim that they are still talking to a representative of Mike Ashley about taking over Newcastle.
The group’s interest first emerged in August, along with claims that Alan Shearer would be involved and that Michael Chopra was fronting the bid.
Chopra was involved, but Shearer was not, and their bid of £280m was ignored and Mike Ashley didn’t consider them to be serious.
Then some digging by Reuters revealed that the BN Group had doctored pictures of Barack Obama and that there were a few other problems that didn’t look good for the group.
However, it looks like they are back, but these Toon fans are not keen on the idea of them taking over the club.
Do you believe this?
No, this group is a joke
Yes, they might be serious now
This is Newcastle, guaranteed they’ll pass the owners and directors test and we’ll be in an even worse position than we are now ?

Ashley is awful but these lot would be a disaster for the club. We’d go bust

I’d actually rather have Ashley ????

The group might apparently be back and in talks, but they have not raised their bid yet with the money they are offering still well below Ashley’s asking price.
However, one of the group’s co-founders, Evangeline Shen, claims that the bid for the Toon is progressing “aggressively,” but these Newcastle fans are not convinced.
Absolutely, positively, categorically, 100% lock, stock and guaranteed did not happen.

Absolutely nothing is what to make of it tbh

These jokers are paid by Qatar to try derail the grief the PL are going to get when the corruption comes out from the Saudi non takeover. Very convident timing??

Nonsense.
Not even gonna read article.

Oh come on !!! Stop this !

The BN Group were not taken seriously by Ashley the first time, and if they haven’t raised their bid, then why would he take them seriously this time?
We will just have to see if anything comes of this, but it is clear that many Newcastle fans either don’t believe it or don’t want this group to take over their club and after that report from Reuters revealed issues with the group, we don’t blame them.
