Many Celtic supporters have been reacting to a tweet from @celticbible in which they relayed a report claiming the Hoops have stepped up their efforts to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Tottenham Hotspur.
The report from the Daily Mail (via The Scottish Sun) states that the Hoops are ‘battling it out’ with Premier League clubs Leeds United, Brighton and Southampton for the 20-year-old’s services.
Sessegnon joined Spurs from Fulham in August 2019 in a deal reportedly worth £24.3m (as per Transfermarkt).
Since joining the club, he has made just 12 appearances and therefore you can understand why Neil Lennon’s side may feel they have a chance of bringing the player to Celtic Park.
Here is how a sample of the club’s supporters have responded to the report via social media.
Imagine him on the left and Frimpong on the right… ? HWG10IAR

Do you think a deal bringing Sessegnon to Celtic is feasible?
Yes
No
However, some Celtic fans were less confident of a deal being agreed that would see Sessegnon swap the English Premier League for the Scottish Premiership.
Not a chance!

Although the left-sided player hasn’t played as much for Spurs as he may have hoped, the fact the club was willing to pay such a significant transfer fee for him in the first place suggests that they had identified him as somebody of great talent.
It remains to be seen whether a deal between the two clubs can be agreed but judging by some of the above responses, the £22.5m-rated man would be welcomed at Celtic with open arms.
