Duffy has joined Celtic on loan from Brighton. Hoops boss Neil Lennon has described the defender to be a ‘leader’ and a ‘warrior’. He believes that Duffy can add ‘great physical presence’ to the club’s first-team as well.
The 28-year-old happens to be a Celtic fan and it was previously reported that he was ‘keen’ to make a switch to Parkhead.
Some other Celtic fans also made their opinion clear about the defender’s latest tweet.
Mate, I think you will have the captains armband on at least once this season.

Clearly, these Celtic fans are pleased about Duffy’s signing and some of them believe that the Irishman can become a legend for the club.
The 28-year-old wasn’t a regular for Brighton in the 2019/20 season as he made 19 Premier League appearances only, racking up a rating of 6.71 (as per Whoscored).
In the 2018/19 season though, Duffy played a lot more in the club’s first-team and made 35 Premier League appearances, picking up a pretty good rating of 7.11 as well (as per Whoscored).
So Celtic fans should hope that Duffy replicates his performances from the 2018/19 campaign, as that can be important in helping Celtic seal their 10th Premiership title in a row this season.
