To kick off this quiz on Wolves' 2019/20 season, which side did the Old Gold's first win of the Premier League term come against?

One of the clubs that he spoke about was Wolverhampton Wanderers and the business that they have done and have planned for the future.

This led to Castles discussing Vitor ‘Vitinha’ Ferreira, who is set to join on loan with an obligation to buy in this transfer window.

It seems as if Wolves are going to sign a player who is rated highly despite not playing much for Porto last season.

He said: “Other players that they’re bringing in or have brought in is Vitor Ferreira, a 20-year-old from FC Porto, whose nickname is Vitinha.

“He’s an attacking midfielder; again, not played much for Porto last season.

“They’ve taken him on a loan with what I am told is an obligatory option to buy at €20m, so essentially the transfer fee has been shifted to next summer rather than this summer.

“[I am] also told that this player is very talented, some of the Portuguese football watchers I talked to said he may be a better player in the long run than Fabio Silva.”

Do you think Ferreira will be a good signing?

TIF Thoughts…

Wolves signed Fabio Silva last weekend, and now look like they are adding Ferreira to their squad as well.

Both Ferreira and Silva are from FC Porto, but neither made that many first-team appearances for the club.

However, it seems as if Ferreira is highly rated, and it will be interesting to see how he does this season at Molineux should the Old Gold confirm his signing.

Ferreira has made 12 senior appearances for Porto, providing one assist in that time, so it will be intriguing to see how Nuno Espirito Santo plans to get the most out of him.
