During a recent YouTube show, Paul Slane has been discussing who he believes will be a future manager of Celtic – and believes that man is currently the best manager in the Scottish Premiership.

During a recent episode of ‘Keeping the Ball on the Ground’ on the Open Goal channel, the pundit named Jack Ross as the boss he believes will be next to take over the reins at Parkhead.

Ross, currently of Hibernian, joined the Edinburgh-based club back in November 2019 having previously managed Sunderland, St. Mirren and Alloa Athletic (as per Transfermarkt).

Which player played the highest number of minutes in all competitions for Celtic in the 2019/20 season?

His side held league leaders Rangers to a draw at the weekend and with Hibs just three points off the top of the table, Slane has been very impressed by the 44-year-old and here is what he has had to say:

“I believe Jack Ross is the best manager in the league.

“He is amazing and will he be the future Celtic manager? I believe so. I believe he will be.”

TIF Thoughts…

Neil Lennon’s Celtic are chasing their 10th successive Scottish Premiership title and so in our view, it would certainly be a massive call for there to be a change of management mid-season, however, given Ross’ impressive start to the season, we can understand why Slane believes he is destined for a bigger club in the not-too-distant future.

Having assisted the Hoops in cutting their arch-rivals’ lead at the top of the division to just a solitary point, it looks like Ross will have done his reputation no harm this weekend as far as the Celtic fanbase is concerned.
