Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the official release of their third kit for the 2020/21 campaign.
The north London club’s official Twitter account introduced the strip to fans on Twitter on Monday morning, sharing images of various first-team players for both the men’s and women’s sides modelling the kit. The strip is predominantly yellow, although it fades into a darker yellow/gold colour, featuring the sponsorship of AIA and Nike alongside the club badge in navy blue.
The tweet also includes a link to the club’s website, where the thinking behind the kit design is explained in more detail. It suggests that:
“The kit is designed head-to-toe in yellow – a classic Spurs shirt colour – with a navy blue trim on a crew collar, shirt sleeves and socks. Subtle bands of yellow grow increasingly darker as they flow down the front of the jersey, owing to the influence of the iconic Nike Air Max 95 trainers, a popular style on the streets of north London.”

Overall, it seems as if the new third kit has split the Spurs fanbase, but perhaps those who aren’t so keen will learn to love the kit when it makes its first appearance on the pitch.
