A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs-focused Twitter account @HotspurRelated which shares that Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has declared that he believes Spurs will sign a new centre-back in the current transfer window.

This comes after Romano recently appeared on TalkSPORT where he said that (0:37): “they have many options but I think that they will also sign a new centre-back,” while discussing the north London club’s transfer business.

After @HotspurRelated shared that Romano believes Spurs will sign a new centre-back before the current Premier League transfer window closes on 5th October, plenty of Tottenham supporters replied to their post to share their thoughts on the journalist’s belief.

Many of the Spurs supporters who replied to @HotspurRelated’s tweet shared some excitement over the possibility that their club will sign a new centre-back before the current transfer window closes.

During his recent appearance on talkSPORT, Romano stated that Internazionale’s Milan Skriniar and Benfica’s Ruben Dias are (0:31) “on the list for Tottenham’s new centre-back” and some Tottenham fans replied to this tweet to share that they would be happy to see either of these two centre-backs at their club.

Meanwhile, some other Spurs fans indicated that they are more concerned with their club signing a new striker than a new centre-back.

So, as can be seen in these Spurs fans’ replies to this tweet, while some were seemingly more concerned with their club’s pursuit of a striker than their pursuit of a centre-back, it seems as though many Lilywhites supporters are happy about Romano’s comment about the likelihood of the north London club signing a centre-back.
