A lot of Newcastle United fans have reacted to a post from Mark Douglas after he tweeted about the fact that the Toon fans, will not be able to watch any of their team’s first three games as none have been selected for TV broadcast and there has yet to be a streaming service introduced.
Douglas claimed that it would be ‘nice’ if the Newcastle fans could watch their team legally, following the Toon’s good Monday, with the signings of Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser confirmed.
However, none of the Toon’s three opening Premier League fixtures have been selected for live broadcast, and there has been no system introduced yet that will allow Toon fans to legally watch their club in September.
This post from Douglas has gone down well with these Toon fans, who feel he understands the situation.
Do you think a solution to streaming the games will be found?
No

Spot on!

Well phrased @MsiDouglas ?

There is apparently work going on to find a solution to this predicament, but as it stands, Newcastle fans will not be able to watch their team or any of their new signings live until at the earliest, the first week of October.
Burnley are the only other club in the top flight who have not been selected for live TV in September, and it is clear that these Toon fans are not happy about it.
Best window for a long time and hardly gonna see it ?

They couldn’t care less about fans

Ah, that would suggest that the @premierleague care about fans though, wouldn’t it?

Just ridiculous. Aren’t Burnley in the same boat as well?

Seems a very short sighted decision. Lots of people exploring illegal viewing options now. How do you then persuade them back towards Sky/BT subscriptions in the future ?

BEOUTQ boxes at the ready

Hopefully, a solution can be found as it is ridiculous that Newcastle fans cannot legally watch their own team when fans are still not allowed to attend fixtures.
We understand why these Newcastle fans are angry, and we would like to think there will be a solution to this situation soon.
