Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest reported transfer update concerning Udinese attacking midfielder Rodrigo de Paul.
This comes after TEAMtalk’s James Marshment shared a post on his Twitter page relaying news originally published in an article from Mondo Udinese.
The article claimed that Leeds’ opening offer of €35 million (£31.6 million) for De Paul has now been rejected and that Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has been told that De Paul will not leave the club for less than €40 million (£36.1 million).
This post from Marshment then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:
A lot of conjecture in the Italian media on Leeds' interest in Rodrigo De Paul.
The latest from Mondo Udinese claims Leeds' opening €35m offer has 'now been rejected' and Andrea Radrizzani has been told he 'cannot cost less' than €40m.

De Paul, who is currently valued at £27 million (as per Transfermarkt), signed to Udinese in the 2016 summer transfer window from Valencia for £2.7 million.
Move on

Since then, the 26-year-old has made 146 appearances for the Italian club, in which he has managed to score 25 goals and provide 25 assists along the way.
Leave him be.

Now that Marshment has relayed this news about De Paul onto his Twitter page, this opened the door for lots of Leeds fans to share their views on this potential deal.
However, there were some Leeds fans responding to the post who had no qualms with their club paying the extra money to sign the Argentine this summer.
Give them €40m.

Please Radz I’m on my knees, just give them it and De Bock https://t.co/Ju0MRQYjQz

Do you think Leeds should pay extra for De Paul?
Yes
No
For the sake of an extra £4.5mil just pay it if that’s the only thing stopping the deal. Pointless being stubborn and settling for a 2nd rate midfielder instead just because he’s cheaper. De Paul would be a game changer.

It appears that the idea of Leeds having to pay a bit of extra money to secure De Paul this summer has completely split this group of Leeds fans.
Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see if Leeds will make another bid for De Paul or whether they will just walk away from the deal entirely.
