A lot of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to slam the performance of Tyler Roberts in the Whites’ 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Sunday.
The 21-year-old was picked to start with Pablo Hernandez out injured, but he only managed to stay on for the first half as Rodrigo replaced him for the second half.
While he was on the pitch, he earned a pretty poor rating of 6.08 and failed to have a shot, while Rodrigo managed three shots with one on target.
Many Leeds fans took to Twitter to express their opinion on Roberts.
Is Roberts good enough?
Yes, he just needs time
No, get rid
Guaranteed everytime Tyler Roberts has the ball…he loses it…just not good enough to play for @LUFC in the Premier League

Is Tyler Roberts playing?

Tyler Roberts is a waste of time in the 10 role. How many times are we gonna keep putting him there? Striker or nothing.

Hope this comes back to haunt me but Tyler Roberts offers nothing to this team

The 21-year-old Welsh international played just his fourth Premier League game, and it seems he didn’t impress these Leeds fans who feel he isn’t good enough for the Premier League.
Many Whites continued to slate Roberts.
Tyler Roberts non existant, Bamford isolated, they hitting us in the spaces we leave behind not great, rather Bielsa revert back to Dallas at LB hasnt worked since we changed shape after 15mins

Tyler Roberts has to go… get him out on loan …

I think Tyler Roberts may have sealed his fate today of being next out the door at Elland Road. I love his attitude and effort in the shirt but he’s not at the next level we’re after now. It really was like having 10 men at times today.

Rodrigo came on in Roberts’ place and had much more impact, and he was involved in the winning goal as he played the ball out to Jack Harrison, who whipped in a delightful ball that Patrick Bamford nodded into the net. (2:33)
In contrast, Roberts, who is valued at £3.24 million (as per Transfermarkt), has now made three Premier League appearances this season totalling 119 minutes, and his average rating for those displays is a poor 6.27.
The opinion seems to be that he is not good enough for this level, but he has still only played less than five Premier League games in his career and is also just 21, so perhaps these Whites fans are writing him off too quickly.
Yes, he has had a poor start to the season, but we think he should be given some time to settle in the top flight before anyone makes any judgement on his ability to play at this level.
