Celtic forward Vakoun Issouf Bayo is the subject of interest from fellow Scottish Premiership side St. Mirren, according to Raman Bhardwaj on Twitter.
The Hoops signed the 23-year-old back in January 2019 from Slovakian side Dunajska Streda in a deal reportedly worth £2.01m (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk). The striker has played 17 times for Neil Lennon’s side to date, scoring twice and providing his teammates with one assist.
The report is supported by STV (via The Scottish Sun) and it is understood Bayo remains behind Odsonne Edouard, Patryk Klimala and Leigh Griffiths in the pecking order, therefore, a loan move may appeal to both the club and the player, with Lennon having reiterated his desire to strengthen Celtic’s frontline this summer.
Here is how a sample of the Parkhead faithful responded to the post on social media.
Would prefer he went to a Motherwell Aberdeen or hibs higher end team that could dominate some games see if there is a player there at all

It’ll be loan deal.. And it’s the kind of move he needs.. He’s not going to be ahead of eddy, griff or kimala,

Won’t be surprised a loan deal is likely. Bayo need game time ?

Do you think a loan move would be good for Bayo?
Yes
No
Judging by some of the above responses, it seems many fans believe the player is in need of regular game time – something he is unlikely to get at Celtic Park based on the number of players expected to be ahead of him in Neil Lennon’s mind. Supporters of the club continued to respond.
Be good tae see Bayo play more in Spfl, he needs more game time ??

Think Celtic should send him out on loan so he can get some game time. I’d imagine Celtic will bring in another 2 strikers if that happens.

We may get rid of Bayo, that’s made my week!

Unless this is a disguise… Celtic release Bayo on loan which paves the way for Toney to sign…. https://t.co/VOvNPsaBjO

Clearly an indication that we are making room for @ivantoney24 to take us to in a row, achieve legendary status, play in the Champions League in front of 60,000 and then earn his move to a top Premiership team!

In our view, a loan deal which would see Bayo play regularly in the Scottish Premiership feels as though it would suit all parties, therefore we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Ivorian swap Glasgow for Paisley.
