These fans seem to have a liking for Edouard, but some others began talking about his contractual situation at Parkhead. Some of them urged the Frenchman to sign a new deal at the Glasgow club.

Edouard’s contract at Celtic runs out in the summer of 2022, with Neil Lennon having confirmed that the club is in talks to extend his deal.

One fan even speculated that the fact Edouard was showing off the new kit for this season meant that he may be signing a contract extension, given how happy he appeared to be in the clip.

These Celtic fans clearly don’t want Edouard to leave anytime soon and they too have a lot of admiration for the striker.

Edouard found the back of the net 27 times in all competitions in the 2019/20 season and got 21 goals in the Premiership. As a result, he won the club’s Player of the Year award and finished as the highest goalscorer in the Premiership season.

That just shows how important Edouard is for Celtic and because of his goals, he will be crucial to helping the club win their tenth Premiership title in a row this season. So Celtic fans can only hope that he stays beyond this summer transfer window.
