Many Celtic fans have been fuming at the performance of Greg Taylor following the club’s 3-0 win over Motherwell on Sunday.

Neil Lennon’s men picked up a 3-0 win at Parkhead, as they climbed up to the third position in the table. They now have 10 points after having played four games in the league campaign.

James Forrest scored the first goal in the game and striker Albian Ajeti scored Celtic’s second. Defender Christopher Jullien scored in second-half stoppage time to make it 3-0 to the Bhoys. Taylor started the game but he was taken off for Jeremie Frimpong in the 62nd minute (as per BBC Sport).

Taylor’s performance didn’t leave too many Celtic fans pleased and they made their opinion very clear.

Was Taylor Celtic's worst player against Motherwell?

Taylor, who is valued at £720k, arrived at Celtic from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2019 for an undisclosed fee.

The defender has featured in every single Premiership game this season for the Hoops and he even racked up a couple of assists in the club’s 5-1 win over Hamilton in the opening game of the campaign (as per Transfermarkt).

Some other Celtic fans weren’t happy with his performance on Sunday as well.

Taylor amassed a rather average WhoScored rating of 6.63 against Motherwell. He didn’t complete a single dribble in the game and he didn’t come up with a single key pass. As a result, he got the fourth-worst rating for Celtic in the game (as per WhoScored).

This shows that it indeed was an average performance from Taylor and Celtic fans are right to criticise him. He may need to improve if he wants to play regularly at left-back for the Bhoys.
