Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet that Odsonne Edouard recently relayed on social media.
Celtic were in action on Tuesday evening when they played against KR Reykjavik in the first round of the UEFA Champions League qualifying stages at Parkhead. The Hoops picked up a dominating 6-0 win to progress to the next round.
The game saw Edouard score in the second half, while Mohamed Elyounoussi grabbed a brace. The Frenchman recently quote-tweeted a video that the official Celtic Twitter account had posted, which involved Edouard and his goal from the clash.
The tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They flocked to it and made their admiration for the striker very clear.

This was Edouard’s fourth goal in all competitions for Celtic this season. While he couldn’t find the back of the net in their last league game against Kilmarnock, he scored a hat-trick against Hamilton in the opening game of the campaign.
Here are some other reactions to Edouard’s tweet:
Sign the contract big boy sign the contract ?

This clearly shows the admiration that Celtic fans have for Edouard – with a few fans calling for him to extend his stay at Parkhead.
Edouard impressed for the Hoops in the 2019/20 season and found the back of the net 27 times in all competitions while grabbing an impressive 19 assists. As a result, he finished as the top scorer in the Premiership and won the club’s Player of the Year award.
Neil Lennon has already confirmed that the club were in talks to hand Edouard a new deal. That is certainly a good sign and that would surely please Celtic fans as well, considering how his goals could help the Hoops seal their 10th Premiership title in a row in the current campaign.
