Many Celtic supporters have flocked to a tweet from the club’s official account relaying some of Neil Lennon’s comments regarding the fitness of his squad.
Having kicked off their Scottish Premiership campaign with a comfortable 5-1 victory over Hamilton last weekend, the Bhoys take on Kilmarnock on Sunday. Ahead of the match, the Celtic boss has revealed that Greg Taylor has an ankle problem whilst Leigh Griffiths has a calf strain.
Last month, it was revealed that Griffiths would be left out of the squad travelling to France in order to prepare for the new season having returned after the lockdown ‘out of condition and over his optimum playing weight’. Judging by how some of the Parkhead faithful have responded, it appears they’ve grown frustrated by the forward’s general fitness issues. Here is how a sample of them have responded.
1 step forward 2 steps back with Griffiths.

Can Leigh Griffiths ever return to his best?
Yes
No
It’s clear that these Celtic supporters are not buying the manager’s comments regarding what the issue really is with Griffiths. Many continued to respond and made their feelings regarding the situation very clear.

The 29-year-old has scored 115 goals and provided 49 assists in 234 appearances for the Glasgow-based club (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk), proof that when fit and firing, he is a very competent centre-forward. Lennon and the Celtic faithful will no doubt be hoping he can put his recent troubles behind him and continue helping his side in their bid for a 10th consecutive league title sooner rather than later.
