In-the-know podcast pundit @ExWHUemployee has been discussing his thoughts on West Ham United’s English forward Grady Diangana.

During the most recent campaign, the winger spent the season on loan with then-Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion and he bagged eight goals and six assists in 30 appearances (per WhoScored).

However, a recent report from The Sun has stated that West Brom, Fulham, Celtic and Dutch gargantuan Ajax are all eyeing a swoop for Diangana.

It is also stated in their report that the 22-year-old starlet is ‘reluctant‘ to return to the London Stadium as he wants assurances over getting first-team football.

So, in the latest episode of The West Ham Way Podcast, @ExWHUemployee discussed his thoughts on the Diangana situation. (18:19)

To kick-off this quiz on David Moyes on the hard side, which club was his first game on the touchline at the London Stadium against?

He said: “I think Grady needs to be played as a first-team player now because if you send these players out on loan [and] say, ‘Smash it in the Championship, you’ll get your chance [with] us’, then you don’t – that sends out a terrible message.

“He played as one of West Brom’s best players in a promotion-winning team, so, he has to be given a chance.

“He played well against Ipswich by the looks of it, he set up a couple of goals. I think Grady could be a big player for us.

“The thing is as well, had [Jeremy] Ngakia, for example, not got his chance against Liverpool and played those four games, many fans would never have heard of him.

“Now that he played those four games he’s now already a semi-established player. So, you need those opportunities.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen from what @ExWHUemployee had to say, he clearly believes that Diangana should be given the chance to impress for West Ham next season.

Should Grady Diangana be a first-team regular for West Ham next season?

Yes, he's a good player

No, he's not good enough

No, he's not good enough

According to a report by Football.london back in May, the attacker is highly rated by David Moyes, so, perhaps it is likely that he may be a prominent feature for the Irons next season.

A 7.13/10 average rating over his 30 Championship appearances during the 2019/20 term (per WhoScored) would certainly seem to suggest that the 22-year-old attacker is talented.

So, hopefully it will be somewhat of a breakthrough season with the Hammers for the English starlet.
