Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a recent transfer rumour which suggests that the north London club are interested in signing Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster on loan ahead of next season.
According to Football Insider (via Last Word On Spurs), Jose Mourinho’s side are exploring the option of signing the 20-year-old on loan, as he is on their radar, with the Lilywhites having failed to sign him permanently two years ago. They will seemingly face competition from a number of Premier League and Championship clubs, although it is suggested that Jurgen Klopp is undecided as to whether to let him leave on loan or not.
The young Englishman enjoyed a superb loan spell with Swansea City in the Championship last season, contributing 11 goals in just 22 league appearances, which saw him average a strong 7.00 rating (per WhoScored). The report suggests that although Spurs recognise that their chances of signing Brewster are slim, he could potentially get game time in the Europa League.
Would Brewster be a good signing for Spurs?

Plenty of Spurs fans seem less than impressed with the reported news.
Why a loanee as backup? He proves to be spot on and then we can’t afford him. Nonsense.

Here we go again, with spurs and this stupid, never ending, search for someone to back up Kane. Small club mentality. Get someone to compete with Kane, to challenge him and make him better.

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans don’t believe that Brewster would be a good signing for them this summer and don’t want to see him join.
