Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports stating that Spurs are looking to recoup the fee they paid for Serge Aurier, amid interest in the right-back from AC Milan.
According to the report by the Daily Mail, Daniel Levy is ‘keen to recoup’ the £23 million fee that Tottenham spent on Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain, with the Spurs chairman reportedly seeing ‘no reason to accept less’ than the figure they paid for the right-back, while AC Milan reportedly only prepared to offer around £12 million for the defender.
After this report was relayed on Twitter by The Spurs Web, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that Levy needs to lower his price for Aurier if he actually wants to sell him this summer.
£15m and call it a day. Dragging out deals over weeks just isn’t worth a few extra pennies. Take the money and run, start thinking about the next transfer.

While many of these Spurs fans seem to be fine with the idea of Aurier leaving this summer, the defender actually proved to be one of Tottenham’s best players last term.
Over his 33 Premier League appearances, the 27-year-old scored one goal and provided five assists, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.06 – enough to rank him as the club’s third-best performer in the 2019/20 season, behind only Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Do you think that £23 million is too much for Serge Aurier?
Yes
No
However, despite this fact, it appears that many more of the Spurs fans are indeed happy to see the right-back depart this summer, and believe that Levy is asking for way too much for the defender.
He will be going nowhere then.

Should be giving him away not holding out for higher offers!

Same old same old, we won’t acquire our targets, we’ll probably get our 3rd or 4th choice and not a single player will have a pre season under his belt, all because Levy overprices players, drags it out and then alienates most teams from wanting to do business with us.

Clearly part of a ‘Levy masterplan’.

It is extremely evident from their comments that the majority of these Spurs fans think that £23 million is far too much for Aurier, and think that Daniel Levy needs to reassess his valuation of the £14.40 million-rated right-back.
