Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news involving Peter Lawwell that emerged on social media recently.
The Daily Record recently published an exclusive story on their website, saying that Scottish football is currently facing a ‘nightmare’ scenario as clubs look set to vote down an emergency plan to cope up with a potential second wave of the pandemic. If this emergency plan is passed, it will allow the SPFL to make a decision about ending next season at some point, if the pandemic does strike again.
However, this resolution is facing strong opposition. The article claims that Lawwell is set to become a part of the SPFL board soon and this could bring in a ‘perception problem’, as Celtic will be looking to win their tenth Premiership title in a row next season.
The update was relayed on Twitter by the Daily Record themselves. Many Celtic fans flocked to this news and a couple of them had positive words to say.
Peter will sort out the SPFL governance with extreme dignity as always! As Celtic secure 10IAR the comics and crayons ? are going to be working overtime! Trying to sell off our best players and unsettling them! We’ll just ignore,be humble, work hard and keep winning!!!

Some other Celtic fans were not pleased about the tweet that Daily Record had sent out and how it had described the situation to be.
Not a lot of football news going about, but to dream up a headline from this is beyond belief.

Clearly, some Celtic fans aren’t happy with how Daily Record decided to tweet out the story.
The last time Celtic won nine Premiership titles in a row was back in 1974 and they haven’t had the chance to go one better since then. So winning a 10th title in a row would be a big achievement and have the perfect opportunity to do so next season.
