Many Celtic fans have been talking about Fraser Forster after a news update about the goalkeeper emerged.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon was recently talking to Sky Sports and he gave updates about Forster. Lennon confirmed that while a deal with Southampton was agreed for the goalkeeper, things had gone ‘quiet’ from the player’s side. He revealed that while the Hoops would ‘love’ Forster back at Parkhead, they will look for other options if the Englishman doesn’t arrive.

Could missing out on Forster turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Celtic?

Not at all!

Yes, I think so

This comes after STV had reported that Forster will not be joining Celtic in the summer. He had held talks with Southampton some days ago and has now decided to fight for his place at the Premier League side.

But the confirmation from Neil Lennon caught the attention of some other Celtic fans too. They also talked about Forster’s decision to not join Celtic in the summer.

Many of these Celtic fans aren’t happy that the Hoops will miss out on Forster and some don’t seem pleased that Forster has chosen to reject the Bhoys

Football Insider had reported that Forster earns a big salary at Southampton and that stands at a mark close to £100,000 per week. It was reported that this amount is worth three times more than what Celtic’s highest earners currently get.

So Celtic’s failure to re-sign Forster could be a blessing in disguise because of his huge wage and signing someone else instead of Forster might turn out to be a better option.
