Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news update involving their interest in signing West Ham United forward Albian Ajeti.

Hoops-related page ‘Everything Celtic’ recently posted an image of Ajeti on Twitter saying that while the Swiss striker is set for a medical in Glasgow, he is still in Switzerland. The tweet carried an image of the West Ham man posing for a picture which was shared on his Instagram story.

Starting with an easy one- apart from Paris Saint-Germain, which other French club did Edouard play for?

This update from the page caught the attention of many Celtic fans as they responded to his social media post, wondering what it could mean ahead of his rumoured move to Parkhead. Here is what some of the Hoops faithful had to say:

Do you think the Ajeti deal will fall through?

Yes, it will fall through

Yes, it will fall through

No, we'll sign him

No, we'll sign him

One fan is now beginning to doubt if the transfer will really go through or not, but others are remaining optimistic about the situation.

This comes after it was reported by ExWHUemployee on Twitter that Ajeti is ‘unsure’ about whether he should join Celtic or not.

Many other Celtic fans began talking about this situation and made their opinions very clear.

A Celtic-related page called CelticTalk also relayed this information and that too attracted some Hoops fans.

Clearly, a lot of Celtic fans prefer to remain positive about this transfer and feel that the move can still go through.

Sky Sports had initially reported that the Hoops have agreed a loan deal with the Hammers and the deal includes an option to buy Ajeti permanently for a fee of around £5 million. They had later said that the idea of playing European football with Celtic appeals to Ajeti.

So there is clearly confusion surrounding this deal and Ajeti’s Instagram story might have only complicated it further. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out.
