Many Celtic fans have been talking about what former France youth coach Jean-Claude Giuntini has had to say about Odsonne Edouard.
Giuntini was exclusively interviewed by the Scottish Sun recently and gave some positive insight into the Celtic striker. The ex-France Under-17 coach said that it would be ‘wonderful’ if Edouard could play together with Kylian Mbappe for the French national team. He revealed that Edouard’s record for France Under-21s is ‘fantastic’ and he hopes that he plays for the senior France side soon enough.
A tweet about this was relayed on Twitter by The Scottish Sun and caught the attention of many Celtic fans – who began talking sarcastically about Mbappe as they agreed the two would make a great partnership.
Right Peter, get on to Mbappe’s agent and make it happen….

Can Edouard and Mbappe play together at some point in the future?
Yes, I think so
That will never happen
Aye but how are we gonna afford mbappe?

I’m sure we could find a position for Mbappe. Have to prove himself first though ?

These Celtic fans seem to believe that there is only one way that Edouard and Mbappe could play together and that is at Parkhead. Celtic fans continued to talk about the Paris Saint-Germain star in a sarcastic manner.
Celtic in for mbappe? He’d be on the bench

While Mbappe is currently at PSG, Edouard is a product of the club’s youth academy. The Celtic man had initially joined the Hoops on loan from the French giants in the summer of 2017. In the summer of 2018, Celtic managed to sign him on a permanent basis (via Transfermarkt).
Mbappe, on the other hand, had joined PSG on loan from Monaco in 2017 before making a permanent move in the same year as Edouard completed his Parkhead switch.
While the Hoops may not be able to sign Mbappe at this point, Celtic fans can certainly hope that the pair can play together for France someday if they are not as keen as Giuntini for them to link up in Paris.
