Supporters of Celtic have been reacting to a transfer link which has emerged between the Hoops and Atletico Madrid’s Rodrigo Riquelme.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 20-year-old winger’s contract is set to expire in 2021 and he may be loaned out if he signs a new deal with the club.
This is due to the fact that the player wants to get more minutes ‘in a higher category’.
The report goes on to state that ‘teams like’ the Hoops and Real Betis have ‘already knocked on his door’, however, it is not clear if it is for a permanent move or on loan.
This report was relayed to social media by @celticbible and lots of fans flocked to it to air their thoughts.

He’s class

Having come through his club’s academy, the young attacker has made only two senior appearances for Atletico’s first-team (per Transfermarkt).
One of the appearances was in La Liga and the other was in the Copa Del Rey, across both outings the 20-year-old Spaniard only featured for 30 minutes of action.
Personally I’d take him, but we dont need another winger because Lennon will never drop forrest or moi

If you think I will be buying all three strips with Riquelme on the back you are 100% correct. Make it happen Peter. https://t.co/52nl3LO01q

Forrest needs to up his game so another winger would maybe push him more!

While he was only on the pitch for 12 minutes during his substitute appearance in La Liga, Riquelme delivered an uninspiring 6.02/10 rating (per WhoScored).
Would you be happy if Celtic signed Rodrigo Riquelme from Atletico Madrid?
Yes, he seems a talent
No, he's not good enough

Agreed but this season might just come come down to the Rangers games and Forrest has been an empty jersey ever since they put Barisic at LB so we need options.

As can be seen in these responses from Celtic supporters, they are clearly keen to see the young Spaniard arrive at Celtic Park this summer.
