Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported news that the Lilywhites are considering swapping Erik Lamela for Ivan Perisic this summer.
According to Calcio Mercato (via The Spurs Web), the north London club are exploring the possibility of bringing in the Croatian winger this summer, with Spurs’ Argentinian winger potentially heading to Inter in return. The 31-year-old has spent the most recent season on loan with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, where he made 22 top-flight appearances, contributing four goals and three assists, which saw him average a 6.78 rating (per WhoScored).
Lamela meanwhile, made 25 appearances in the Premier League, contributing just two goals and one assist, which saw him average an underwhelming 6.64 rating (per WhoScored). Based on these stats alone, Spurs would be getting the better player in any potential swap deal, although Lamela is three years younger than the Inter winger.
