Many Celtic fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account that includes a link to an article on the Hoops’ official website which shares Celtic’s Premiership fixture list for the 2020/21 season.
In addition to that link which shares the club’s fixture list for the coming season, an image revealing all of the Hoops’ first five league games and their kick-off times can be seen in this tweet.
After being awarded the 2019/20 Premiership title prematurely after the Premiership was cancelled in May, Celtic are set to play their first game of the 2020/21 campaign on the second of August when they host Hamilton Academical. Home games against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen, as well as away trips to St. Mirren and Dundee United make up the rest of Celtic’s first five league games next season.
After the Hoops shared this fixture list on Twitter, plenty of Celtic supporters replied to this post to share their thoughts on their club’s start to the campaign.

As per the BBC, the Scottish government’s national clinical director Professor Jason Leitch revealed that he believes there will be “pretty much no chance” of fans attending games in August and with the season currently set to restart behind closed doors, some Hoops supporters shared disappointment at the fact that they will not be able to attend August’s away trip to Dundee United.

I can’t see 60,000 fans being allowed at Celtic Park in 27 days and no fans at Dundee Utd would be a shame, love going there. Can’t wait for the season to start though! Hail Hail! ?

SPFL have no shame. Last game of the first round. Usually within first 3/4. No wonder they get bad press. https://t.co/VDbf7wxGqD

While the kick-off times appear to be an issue for some Celtic fans and the issue of not being able to attend games right away appears to be an issue for other Hoops supporters, it may be understandable why some Hoops fans were excited by this fixture list being released, considering that they haven’t had the opportunity to see their side in competitive action since March.
