Fans of Celtic have taken to Twitter in reaction to reports of links with West Ham United striker, Albian Ajeti.
According to recent reports by Sky Sports, Celtic have enquired about the potential signing of the 23-year-old, either ‘on loan or on a permanent deal’.
However, it is also stated that Celtic ‘face competition from a number of Premier League clubs’ for the £4.32 million rated forward, who has made just nine league appearances this term.
Despite this lack of game time, in reaction to the links with the Switzerland international, Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter, with many calling for their club to do all they can to sign Ajeti this summer.

Sounds good

Despite hardly featuring for West Ham this season, Ajeti’s record at Basel was certainly impressive.
In total, the 23-year-old scored 43 goals and provided 21 assists over his 96 appearances for the Swiss club, with 21 of his goals and 11 of his assists for Basel coming in an extremely prolific 2018/19 campaign for the club.
This form earned him a £7.83 million move to West Ham last summer. Since then, the striker has failed to start a single league game for the Hammers, playing a total of just 130 minutes of Premier League football.
Would you be happy to see Celtic make a move for Ajeti this summer?
Yes
No
As such, it was reported that Ajeti was keen on a loan move away from East London back in January, however, because of the fact he has also played for Basel in the 2019/20 season, his options were extremely limited and nothing materialised.
Looks similar(ish) to Weissman on paper? On a wee bit more of a wedge in the EPL though.

Ajeti is plausible on loan. Could even be with an option to buy at the end of it.
I like the look of him..— McGuire (@McGuire_67) July 22, 2020
Announce Nicky Hammond’s resignation if this is true https://t.co/1EQoRxYBrj

Lennon always carries 4. Bayo likely loaned out. Griffiths a liabilty.

Bayo is done, griffiths coat on a shakey peg. If we are continuing to play 2 unfront we need another striker. Need 4 for that system.

However, the striker will be free to move wherever he wishes over the coming window, and, judging by the reaction of these Celtic fans, it would seem that he would be greatly appreciated at Parkhead.
