Paul Machin, host of The Redmen TV, has made a claim on Wolves winger Adama Traore.

This comes after Machin recently hosted an episode of The Redmen TV Podcast to talk about the latest news surrounding Liverpool.

Interestingly, the Reds have been linked with the attacker in recent times.

2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the subject of which Premier League player he would like to see make the move to Anfield in the upcoming summer transfer window, Machin chose the Spanish winger as his choice.

He said: “I don’t even think he’s that good, but he’s just so stupid fast and strong that I would enjoy watching him play for us. I think that’s what we’re desperately missing, is another stupidly, stupidly fast footballer to add to the team.

“For me, that’s what I’d go with and there’s obviously plenty out there but he’s the big one. I think everyone would get behind that because I think you can see he’s a proper Match of the Day player and he’s been boss against Man City so we’ve probably paid more attention to him than most other players.”

Traore first signed to the Midlands club back in the 2018 summer transfer window from Championship side Middlesbrough for a fee of £18 million.

Since then, the 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £22.95 million according to Transfermarkt, has made 87 appearances for the Old Gold in which he has managed to score seven goals and provide 15 assists along the way.

This season, in particular, has seen Traore in top form for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, having earned himself a season rating of 7.53/10 for his performances in the 36 Premier League appearances he’s made for Wolves this year, making him their highest-rated player in this campaign (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

Looking at how impressive Traore has been for Wolves so far this season, he could well be an option for Liverpool to sign this summer if they are in the market for another winger.

However, if Traore were to make the move to Anfield this summer, he would likely have to compete for a place in the team against the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
