Many Celtic supporters have taken to social media to criticise Greg Taylor’s performance during the club’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain during Tuesday night’s friendly.
The Ligue 1 champions ran out ‘easy winners’ thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Ander Herrera and Pablo Sarabia (via Sky Sports). The left-back Taylor started the game for the Hoops but was substituted in 74 minutes and was replaced by Boli Bolingoli (as per celticfc.net).
Following the match, Taylor’s display was singled out by a number of fans and here is a sample of what some had to say regarding the 22-year-old.
Happy to be proven wrong, cause he’s sometimes decent – but I don’t think that Greg Taylor’s good enough for Celtic’s starting XI

Greg Taylor poses no attacking threat at all. #celtic

Greg Taylor and Scott Bain…..not even close to being good enough for Celtic. Dug meat

Greg Taylor needs to look up and deliver a better final ball. Ajer needs to stop charging yp the pitch and getting us caught out of shape and Scott bain is not the answer, decent back up not a full time number one

Do you think Greg Taylor has a future at Celtic?
Yes
No
Taylor made just 12 appearances for Neil Lennon’s side in the Scottish Premiership in the 2019/20 season but it’s clear from the above responses many Celtic fans remain unconvinced of his ability to play as the club’s first-choice left-back in the future.
Taylor never a Celtic left back in a million years ?

The Hoops signed the defender from Kilmarnock back in September after Kieran Tierney left the club for the Premier League giants Arsenal in a deal reportedly worth £25m.
The Scotland international is contracted at Celtic Park until June 2023 but judging by the above, he still has a long way to go with regards to convincing the supporters of his quality.
