Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club announced that they have ‘hit record numbers’ of season ticket sales.
In a statement posted on the club’s website, Celtic thanked their fans in showing their support for the club by purchasing season tickets, stating: “We would like to thank every single supporter who has bought a season ticket or seasonal hospitality for the 2020/21 campaign. We are the finest team in Scotland, the #9InARow champions once again and we are doing all we can to bring you more and more success.”
After the club posted the news that they had sold out of season tickets on Twitter, fans flocked to have their say on the matter, with many using the opportunity to call for the club to repay the fans’ support and start buying players.

Now do your bit and get signings over the line.

While it may seem rather excessive for fans to be calling for their club to announce signings when the transfer window only opened roughly two weeks ago, the argument for the club to announce the rumoured signing of Vasilis Barkas is rather justified, as at present, the club only currently have Scott Bain as a senior goalkeeper in the first team.

This is good news, but I’m gutted for the fans that weren’t able to renew because of the current situation. There will be many out there and it must have been heartbreaking for them. HH to every single one of them. https://t.co/KGNRSSE1Dr

With Celtic going for their 10th Scottish Premiership title in a row next season, it would indeed seem important for the club to bring in a few new signings in order to give themselves the best chance possible to achieve this historic feat.
However, with Sky Sports recently reporting that a deal has been agreed with West Ham for the loan signing of striker Albian Ajeti, as well as beginning negotiations with AEK Athens for the signing of goalkeeper Barkas, we imagine it will not be too much longer before these Celtic fans get their wish of incoming players.
