Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Willy Boly has shrugged off the chances of him joining Arsenal in the future.

Boly was recently interviewed by BeIN Sports and he was asked about many topics. He was responding to tweets from football fans and one fan said that the Gunners should sign the centre-back.

Boly’s response to this was  ‘No, never’, but he also went on to talk about the Emirates-based side. He called them a ‘very good team’ but said that Wolves aren’t ‘afraid’ of the north London giants. He said that in the game involving Wolves and Arsenal at the weekend, the Gunners won’t be winning easily.

Boly has been a regular for Wolves this season. He has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the club in the campaign, playing 16 times in the Premier League and playing as many as 11 Europa League games (via Transfermarkt).

Will Boly ever leave Wolves for Arsenal?

TIF Thoughts…

Wolves are currently sixth in the Premier League table and are only two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and level on points with Manchester United.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side face Premier League rivals Wolves on Saturday, but there is a gap of six points between the two clubs. A loss for Arteta’s men would see Wolves open up a nine-point gap as both clubs seek European football next season.

That is a clear reflection of which team is better at this point in time and it would certainly be strange if Boly joins Arsenal in the near future.
