Arsenal journalist Dan Potts has made a big claim on Matteo Guendouzi and his future at the club.

This comes after Potts recently made an appearance on The Chronicles of a Gooner podcast to look back at Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Norwich City on Wednesday.

Can you score 20/20 on this Premier League quiz? Starting off easy, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season?

On the topic of the midfield man and his future at Arsenal, Potts shared his views on the matter.

He said: “The worrying thing for me is when [Mikel] Arteta says he wants to see change, and he’s not seen change – that to me means Guendouzi’s made up his mind. He’s fallen out with him. And it wouldn’t surprise me if he leaves in the summer.

“If he’s thrown his toys out the pram and said ‘I’m done, I’m not interested, I’m not buying into this’, then he’s got to go and it’s frustrating. But Guendouzi isn’t a [Cesc] Fabregas in my opinion, Guendouzi’s got the potential to be a very good player, but Fabregases don’t come around every year.”

Would you keep or sell Guendouzi this summer?

So far this season, Guendouzi, who is currently valued at £36.45 million according to Transfermarkt, has made a total of 34 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions.

The 21-year-old’s performances in his 24 Premier League appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this year have earned him a season rating of 6.69/10 (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

If Guendouzi has fallen out with Arteta and the manager does have issues with his attitude, it doesn’t make his future at Arsenal look too bright at the moment.
