Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest transfer rumour linking Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha with a move to the North London club.
According to Transfermarkt journalist @MrRussoTM (via The Spurs Web), the Lilywhites are interested in the former Manchester United man this summer, and he is keen to leave the Eagles. The Ivory Coast international has been Palace’s best performer in the Premier League so far this season; averaging a 7.04 rating across his 32 appearances in the top flight, having contributed three goals and three assists (per WhoScored).
The 27-year-old has now made 356 appearances for the South London club; contributing 56 goals and 70 assists in that time (per Transfermarkt). Considering the winger is currently valued at £39.6 million, it would be a huge transfer for the Lilywhites this summer, although Russo does suggest that he is keen on a move to Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal.

Lots of Spurs fans seemed frustrated that this story has re-emerged, with the club having been linked to the Palace man in the past, with a couple of fans comparing him to Leandro Damiao; who Spurs came close to signing back in 2012.
Not this again…every year it’s the same “news”

This is turning out to be like Leandro Damaio

Not this news cycle again. We’re going to turn Zaha into the new Damiao

One Spurs fan suggested he would rather not see his club sign Zaha, suggesting he is vastly overrated.
The most overrated player in the league. No thankyou. Rather McNeil

The guy is like Dele , massively regressed since 17/18 . No thanks

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans don’t want to see their club make a move for Zaha in the summer transfer window.
