A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed information from an email sent to members of the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST) telling them why they will not disclose a letter that they have received regarding the proposed takeover.

Nice easy one to start off with, which club did Newcastle United sign Shearer from in 1996?

On Tuesday, the NUST put a tweet out confirming that they had received a reply from Richard Masters regarding Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed takeover of Newcastle United.

However, they then said nothing else, which angered many Toon fans.

They then sent this email, which has also annoyed these Newcastle fans who want to know what was said.

Do you think the NUST should reveal the response they received?

Yes, fans have a right to know

No, they can do what they want

No, they can do what they want

The first tweet from the NUST was certainly cryptic, and this email doesn’t really help, but it has provoked some thoughts from these Toon fans who are speculating on what the Premier League have said.

Richard Masters went in front of some MPs yesterday, and when asked on the Toon’s takeover, he refused to mention anything about the process.

So, it seems strange that the Premier League would say nothing to some MPs but would say something to the NUST.

However, the fact they are not revealing anything does provoke the question of, why aren’t they saying anything?

Have they been told something different from everyone else?

It is intriguing, but it is clear that it has frustrated many Newcastle fans who are desperate for news on the takeover.

The deal for Staveley’s group to buy Newcastle from Mike Ashley was agreed in April, and it seems that now people are beginning to get frustrated.

Steve Bruce asked for clarity as did the Toon’s squad, and some fans started a petition to get the Premier League to make a decision.

It will be interesting to see if any of this has an impact on what the Premier League decide to do.
