Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to an interview with former striker Robbie Keane regarding Daniel Levy’s impact at the north London club.
The former Republic of Ireland international, who hit 121 goals for Spurs in 302 appearances (per Transfermarkt), spoke to beIN Sports about the Tottenham chairman. He defended the work that ENIC has done for the Lilywhites, saying (via The Spurs Web):
“Daniel Levy has done unbelievable things for Tottenham Hotspur. What he has done for that club is incredible.”
During Levy’s time with the north London club, he has overseen the construction of a new £1 billion stadium and training ground, and has helped the club become one of the richest teams in European football. However, he still faces criticism from fans, perhaps due to his perceived lack of spending, or perhaps because the first-team have failed to deliver a trophy since their League Cup win back in 2008.
Do you agree that Levy has done a good job?
Yes
No

How much has Levy paid you to say that?

Lots of Spurs fans seem to disagree with the 40-year-old’s comments.
Yes! He’s been so incredible that we’ve had the same winning team since 2015! That he didn’t want to spend an extra 12 million on a midfielder who is doing the business at United! yes! Levy is our guy!

With respect to Robbie he doesn’t get charged top dollar to find out we sign no one. Well all see levy’s ambition this summer

However, some Spurs fans do seem to agree with what Keane had to say.
Completely agree. He transformed our club from where we were 20 yrs ago. We now ask him to stop thinking in a rebuild sense and start thinking as a big club thats the 8th richest in the world. All we want is for him to focus less on profit, and more about the actual team.

Robbie’s comments are correct, ENIC have been fantastic!

Overall, it seems that the majority of Spurs fans disagree with Keane, however, some do seem to agree that ENIC has done a great job.
