This comes after the Leeds journalist shared a post on his official Twitter page praising Brentford winger Said Benrahma, claiming that he is “some player.”
Hay then added in his post that Brentford “know how to find them” referring to their ability to recruit good players.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Benrahma.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post from Hay:
Some player Benrahma. They know how to find them at Brentford.

Absolutely phenomenal player

Hay’s post came after Benrahma scored two goals in Brentford’s 3-1 win over Derby County at the weekend.
Got to give it to them, their recruitment is something else. Doesn’t break the bank either. Highly impressive!

The winger first signed to Brentford back in the 2018 summer transfer window from French side OGC Nice for a fee of £1.53 million (per Transfermarkt).
IF they dont go up, we should be going straight in for him.

Since then, Benrahma has gone on to make 85 appearances for the club in which he has managed to score 28 goals and provide 26 assists along the way.
Have him in a heartbeat when we go up

He’d look good in a white kit next season

Would you take Said Benrahma at Leeds this summer?
Yes
No
This season has seen the winger, who is currently valued at £9.45 million according to Transfermarkt, manage to score 17 goals and provide nine assists in 40 Championship appearances for Brentford in this campaign (per Transfermarkt).
He’s like Mahrez. Came through French football. Unknown and got his break. I firmly believe he won’t achieve what Mahrez has though

Now that Hay has shared this post on his official Twitter page, this sparked a big reaction with many Leeds fans responding with their thoughts on the 24-year-old, with one Leeds fans suggesting that Benrahma could be a good replacement for Pablo Hernandez.
Said all along…he is pablo’s natural replacement … absouloute Bielsa player

It’s nice to see Hay and this group of Leeds fans sharing their praise for Benrahma despite him not being a player for their club.
