Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu will now miss the game against Tottenham Hotspur later this month due to suspension.
The Turkish centre-back was sent off in Sunday’s 4-1 defeat against Bournemouth after kicking out at Callum Wilson (per BBC), meaning that he is likely to be handed a three-game suspension and will miss the Foxes’ fixture against Spurs on 19th July.
After The Spurs Web shared this news with Lilywhites supporters, fans celebrated in the knowledge that Brendan Rodgers’ side will be without one of their most influential players for the visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later this month. The 24-year-old centre-back has averaged a strong 7.04 rating for his performances in the top-flight so far this season, which makes him Leicester City’s fifth-best performing player in the Premier League (per WhoScored).

Spurs fans will no doubt be hoping that their side can overtake the Foxes in the Premier League table should they win the game on the 19th of July, and other results go their way between now and the end of the season.
Ha how nuts. If we win our remaining 3, and foxes lose today, drop points to blades, then lose to both us and United, we JUMP foxes. Cmon, keep it going to give us some optimism ha. Would also need a) City ban to be upheld b) blades/wolves to drop some more pts. A man can dream.
