Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been talking about the latest tweet involving Dele Alli that emerged on social media.
The Spurs Twitter account recently posted this tweet of the Englishman training with the club’s first-team. The caption of the video confirmed that Alli has now returned to training with the Lilywhites.
The 24-year-old hasn’t featured for Jose Mourinho’s side since playing 19 minutes in their 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United. He has missed three games due to a muscle injury but didn’t feature in the last two games as well (via Transfermarkt).
When the video involving Alli emerged on Twitter, many Spurs flocked to it and made their opinion about him very clear.
Get out of here with this. Sad decline of a promising player. Can’t even remember what position he plays in anymore. https://t.co/mj4dPo157X

These Spurs fans seem delighted that Alli, who is valued at £57.6 million (as per Transfermarkt), is back fit and training with the side, with one fan saying that some don’t admit how important he is for Tottenham.
In the 2019/20 campaign, Alli has made 37 appearances in all competitions and has contributed to a total of 15 goals. In the Premier League, he has scored eight goals while picking up four assists (via Transfermarkt).
He has a goals and assists ratio per 90 minutes of 0.54 in the current Premier League season – the second-worst total from his time at Spurs. It shows that he hasn’t exactly had the best of campaigns by his own standards. And Spurs fans can only hope that he improves next season.
