Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a transfer report regarding Manchester City’s interest in Jan Vertonghen.
According to The Telegraph, Pep Guardiola is interested in bringing the Belgian central defender to Manchester.
The 33-year-old defender’s contract is set to expire at the end of this month and he would, therefore, be available to City on a free transfer.
Reportedly, Guardiola views the Belgian as a ‘short-term solution’ to his side’s defensive issues.
This transfer report was then relayed to social media by Ricky Sacks, and lots of Spurs supporters flocked to his tweet to air their views.
If he was at another club Spurs would go for him in a free. Sign him up he deserves it.

Should Spurs offer Jan Vertonghen a new contract?
Yes, he needs to stay
No, he's not good enough
He would deserve it but it would be hard to accept as a fan

Good luck to Jan if he goes to join Man City, totalling derserving of a trophy, however how gutted would he be if spurs win a trophy next season and he city win nothing? . A man can dream can’t he?

As can be seen in these responses from Spurs fans, it seems that many would be disappointed to see him leave the club, however, would like him to win a trophy in England.
