Starting with an easy one, against which club did Shelvey make his Newcastle debut?

Kennedy spent a long time covering the takeover in great detail and also provided some hints on transfers.

The transfers that Kennedy talks about are if the takeover doesn’t happen, but he still sounds positive about them.

Here is what he had to say:

“I am not going to reveal anything now, but I’ve had a couple of names put to me that I believe would be incredible signings and these are signings that are being looked into provided a takeover doesn’t go through.”

This is an interesting insight into what Newcastle have planned for the transfer market, even if the Premier League rejects the proposed takeover of the Toon.

Would you be excited by any signings if the takeover is rejected?

TIF Thoughts…

The fact that Kennedy describes these potential signings as ‘incredible’ suggests that Newcastle might have some good players lined up even if their takeover doesn’t go through, giving the fans a reason to be excited regardless of the proposed takeover’s fate.

Kennedy would not reveal the players’ names in his chat with Wraith, but on Thursday, he published an exclusive about the Toon looking at Luka Jovic on loan.

So, maybe that was one of the names he was talking about?

Either way, the transfer window opens soon, and even though Newcastle might have plans in place, it would be better for the club if the Premier League made a decision on the takeover soon.
